Cut from 100% organic cotton and hand printed with only azo-free dyes, Patty is a full-length silhouette with thoughtfully feminine detailing. Pintuck detailing decorates the bodice, creating gentle gathers and shape, with a waist sash to cinch in the waist. Soft scallop picot trim adorns the flattering scoop neckline, framed by gentle flutter sleeves. The skirt is finished with a petite ruffled hem and ladder lace trim. These small details bring a romantic softness to Patty.

Care

Machine wash cold. Wash with like colours. Turn inside out when washing. Dry in shade. Do not tumble dry. Iron on reverse using low heat setting to smooth out any creases. Mist any creases with some water for easy ironing.

Darker colours, such as red, navy, and black, may release excess dye in the first few washes. This is completely normal. Please wash with care and avoid soaking. You may wish to use colour catcher sheets when laundering. Each piece has been carefully treated for colour fastness to help preserve both colour and print.

Hand Screen Printing

Stencils are used in screen printing, where the stencilled artwork is placed into a wooden frame and dyes are passed through the stencil and onto the fabric — a process that is completely done by hand. Each frame prints a section of the fabric and one colour is painted each time, this is done repeatedly until the pattern is completed. The pigment saturates the cloth to give a unique depth of colour which is controlled by the printer’s hands. We also rely on natural dyeing and drying methods when producing our fabrics.

Subtle variances in depth and irregularities in print and colour are natural characteristics of hand screen printing and the nature of a handmade process.

Textile — Pemberley Bleu

Soft white botanical motifs of petite sprigs and florals painted against a calming shade of chambray blue, a muted blue we’ve carefully mixed and refined. It has lightness and depth, like a colour swatch found in an old paint book. The lightest butter yellow colours the buds, bringing a small warm accent against the cool blue. Pemberley is printed using the discharge printing technique. Printers do not always get to see the floral motifs until the fabric has been steamed and processed, making it harder to line each stencil to the next.
