Sandie is a button down full length dress made from 100% organic cotton. It has a flattering V-neckline and a fitted bodice with a shirred back waistband. Short angel sleeves frame your shoulders elegantly, and their light drape gives Sandie a romantic feel. Sandie has a loose flowing skirt and a single tier that is cut higher on the skirt, creating graceful movement while echoing a long, elegant silhouette.

Care

Machine wash cold. Wash with like colours. Turn inside out when washing. Dry in shade. Do not tumble dry. Iron on reverse using low heat setting to smooth out any creases. Mist any creases with some water for easy ironing.

Darker colours, such as red, navy, and black, may release excess dye in the first few washes. This is completely normal. Please wash with care and avoid soaking. You may wish to use colour catcher sheets when laundering. Each piece has been carefully treated for colour fastness to help preserve both colour and print.

Hand Screen Printing

Stencils are used in screen printing, where the stencilled artwork is placed into a wooden frame and dyes are passed through the stencil and onto the fabric — a process that is completely done by hand. Each frame prints a section of the fabric and one colour is painted each time, this is done repeatedly until the pattern is completed. The pigment saturates the cloth to give a unique depth of colour which is controlled by the printer’s hands. We also rely on natural dyeing and drying methods when producing our fabrics.

Subtle variances in depth and irregularities in print and colour are natural characteristics of hand screen printing and the nature of a handmade process.

Textile — Painted Spring Lilac

Light spring colours painted on a soft petal pink base, Painted Spring Lilac is brought to life by a palette of seven harmonious colours. Sunshine yellow, cloud cream and two shades of complementary lavender tones colour the floral motifs, while a soft light olive green colours the leaves. A light chestnut brown marks the center of each flower bud, completing the picture of an early spring flower field. The flowers are not coloured in white, but a soft cloud cream that blends seamlessly with the rest of the colour palette chosen for Painted Spring.
