Inspired by a Painter’s smock and updated with feminine detailing for a special touch. Painter has a round neckline, with delicate pintucks running down the front and back. Petite ruffles frame your shoulders while the keyhole detailing on the back creates a gentle understated look. This is our first relaxed fit silhouette and can be worn with or without the matching waist sash. A little loop is sewn on the back of the dress so you can always hang your sash back in place after use.

Size:
Machine wash cold. Wash with like colours. Turn inside out when washing. Dry in shade. Do not tumble dry. Iron on reverse using low heat setting to smooth out any creases. Mist any creases with a little water for easy ironing.
Stencils are used in screen printing, where the stencilled artwork is placed into a wooden frame and dyes are passed through the stencil and onto the fabric — a process that is completely done by hand. Each frame prints a section of the fabric and one colour is painted each time, this is done repeatedly until the pattern is completed. The pigment saturates the cloth to give a unique depth of colour which is controlled by the printer’s hands. We also rely on natural dyeing and drying methods when producing our fabrics.

Subtle variances in depth and irregularities in print and colour are natural characteristics of hand screen printing and the nature of a handmade process.
Petite botanical motifs against a soothing shade of dusty blue. Using discharge printing, each flower bud, petal, leaf and stem is carefully hand screen printed, coloured and processed so that the final canvas is dried perfectly with all its details present. Our personal favourite motif is the littlest daisy flower found all over Bleu Iris. Hand printed on 100% GOTS certified organic cotton. .
