Made with yarn dyed 100% organic cotton, Bennet is a full length dress with a scoop neckline, gentle puff sleeves, and an empire waist design. Designed to be an easy wear everywhere dress, Bennet is elasticised around the neckline, waist and sleeves. Petite ruffles add understated feminine detailing.

Care

Machine wash cold. Wash with like colours. Turn inside out when washing. Dry in shade. Do not tumble dry. Iron on reverse using low heat setting to smooth out any creases. Mist any creases with some water for easy ironing.

Darker colours, such as red, navy, and black, may release excess dye in the first few washes. This is completely normal. Please wash with care and avoid soaking. You may wish to use colour catcher sheets when laundering. Each piece has been carefully treated for colour fastness to help preserve both colour and print.

Hand Screen Printing

Stencils are used in screen printing, where the stencilled artwork is placed into a wooden frame and dyes are passed through the stencil and onto the fabric — a process that is completely done by hand. Each frame prints a section of the fabric and one colour is painted each time, this is done repeatedly until the pattern is completed. The pigment saturates the cloth to give a unique depth of colour which is controlled by the printer’s hands. We also rely on natural dyeing and drying methods when producing our fabrics.

Subtle variances in depth and irregularities in print and colour are natural characteristics of hand screen printing and the nature of a handmade process.

Textile — Yarn Dyed Cotton

Petite Gingham Bleu is a yarn dyed fabric made from 100% organic cotton. It is slightly weighted, holding shape with an easy drape. The pattern is an understated gingham, woven from a mix of light sky blue and off white threads. Yarn dyed fabrics are made by dyeing the yarns first, before they are woven. Through the weaving process, colour becomes part of the fabric’s very structure. Petite Gingham Bleu has an organic hand feel, with subtle irregularities in texture that give the fabric its quiet, vintage character.
