Made with 100% organic cotton and hand printed using only azo-free dyes, Bennet is a full length dress with a scoop neckline, gentle puff sleeves, and an empire waist design. Designed to be an easy wear everywhere dress, Bennet is elasticised around the neckline, waist and sleeves. Petite ruffles add understated feminine detailing.

Size:

Machine wash cold. Wash with like colours. Turn inside out when washing. Dry in shade. Do not tumble dry. Iron on reverse using low heat setting to smooth out any creases. Mist any creases with a little water for easy ironing.

Stencils are used in screen printing, where the stencilled artwork is placed into a wooden frame and dyes are passed through the stencil and onto the fabric — a process that is completely done by hand. Each frame prints a section of the fabric and one colour is painted each time, this is done repeatedly until the pattern is completed. The pigment saturates the cloth to give a unique depth of colour which is controlled by the printer’s hands. We also rely on natural dyeing and drying methods when producing our fabrics.

Subtle variances in depth and irregularities in print and colour are natural characteristics of hand screen printing and the nature of a handmade process.

A simple and elegant floral repeating pattern coloured in the deepest ocean blue, accompanied by little sprigs of gentle leaves painted in a shade of complementary lake blue. Majolica’s ditsy floral pattern has a quiet vintage charm - we added the tiniest all over burgundy polka dots to finish the look!
