Edith — October '23
MOMENTS IN BLOOM is a soft reflection of harmony between natural textiles and romantic silhouettes
Introducing a new silhouette — Edith, to our collection of Day Dresses. Edith features a gathered bust design, an empire waist line and a special two tier skirt cut to create a feminine silhouette. Edith is available in 3 colours and textiles — Schiffli, Pond Dobby and Primrose on 100% GOTS certified cotton.
Schiffli is a type of embroidery fabric made and woven on the Schiffli machine using lock stitches to create patterns on the fabric. Work began in May '23, from creating the artwork, to getting the GOTS certified cotton to our Schiffli partner where it is finally embroidered on the Schiffli machine. A process that took 2.5 months for the final rolls of fabric to be ready.
Edith in Primrose; Hand printed vintage floral motifs coloured in a blend of soft primrose blue and lavender hues. Trailing vines and leaves in an earthy shade of olive green complete the cream beige canvas.
Edith in Pond Dobby; Delicate piping made with cotton voile along the neckline and skirt adds a subtle touch of detailing. Piping on the neckline is hand stitched for a seamless look.
Pond Dobby; A new addition to our textile colours. Custom dyed with azo-free dyes, carefully mixed to perfection by our dye master. Looking forward to sharing the completed works with you!
